Kátia Barbosa at Bairro do Avillez

On Sunday, 15 November, Brazilian chef Kátia Barbosa will be at Bairro do Avillez for a special lunch featuring Brazilian Feijoada from 1:30 pm, followed by a lively samba gathering from 3:00 pm. The flavours and joyful spirit of Brazil will take centre stage in the heart of Chiado.

Six years after winning over Lisbon audiences with the pop-up of her Aconchego Carioca, Kátia Barbosa returns to Bairro do Avillez to serve one of Brazil’s great culinary specialities: Feijoada à Brasileira.

From 1:30 pm, it’s all about feijoada, one of the most iconic dishes of Brazilian cuisine and one of the chef’s great passions.
At 3:00 pm, it’s time for music, as a roda de samba invites guests to linger over lunch and let Sunday unfold to the rhythms of Brazil.
