Bairro do Avillez was born in Chiado, Lisbon, in 2016, as a gastronomic project by José Avillez designed to bring different restaurants together in the same building. Bairro do Avillez occupies part of the cloisters and former dependencies of the old Convento da Trindade, a historic 13th-century building.
