From June 3rd to 5th, 2026, chef Hugo Candeias will be cooking at TABERNA at Bairro do Avillez, by José Avillez, for an unmissable Pop-Up celebrating contemporary Portuguese cuisine.
Known for his hugely popular dishes, creativity and warm personality, Hugo Candeias has worked in some of the most important kitchens in Portugal and abroad, including the renowned restaurants of Albert Adrià.
For this exclusive Pop-Up, Hugo Candeias will present a special menu served at both lunch and dinner, featuring some of his signature dishes, including Oven-baked rice with chicken and smoked sausages, Swordfish sandwich, Oxtail cottage pie and the iconic Basque cheese tart by Hugo Candeias.
